Prevent Dog Attacks

Martial Arts Instructor Jerry Miller states, "One day I was walking down the street and I was attacked by a doberman pincher! Ever try to use martial arts on a dog. The dogs pursued the victim easily vaulted a low chain link fence and trapped him on the neighbor's front porch. Afraid to open the door, men inside the house came out the rear and tried to stop the attack.



The police came and waded in with their nightsticks. Only after the officers began pepper spraying the dogs did the attack end. The attack left the 15 year old with serious injuries.

On Wednesday December 17, 2008, my wife and I were leaving the Publix grocery store at about 8:45 pm. Because of a stroke, I was using an electric cart and was a few feet ahead of my wife, Gladys. When I reached my car, I looked back toward her and noticed a young fellow dressed in black Gothic attire. He was walking directly toward her. I looked straight at him and said to my wife, “Get your pepper spray ready.” At that moment the young punk turned and walked off in another direction.
He had seen that I was in no condition to give chase and Gladys would have been helpless to a purse snatcher. I am convinced that he was looking for an easy target, but thanks to God’s protection and pepper spray we were not helpless at all.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of being aware of your surroundings and be prepared with some form of self defense.

“Animal Planet” had a true life adventure about a naturalist who saved baby grizzly bears.
If the mother bears was killed or the babies were injured in some way the naturalist would nurse the babies back to health.
The next step would be to take them back into their natural habitat and teach the babies how to fish and survive on their own.
The male grizzly bears have no familial feelings as they would just as soon have these
babies bears for lunch.

A Short History of Pepper Spray

The process of grinding up hot peppers and using them to blind one's enemies started as far back as ancient China. A type of Pepper Spray, derived from the tear gases, mustard gases, and hybrids was used by the military and police forces of the world since the 19th century.

Pepper Spray was derived from the cayenne pepper plant. The main ingredient in Pepper Spray is Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C). In researching they found the O. C. in the pepper’s placenta is 16% stronger than from any other part of the pepper plant. Oleoresin capsicum has extremely hot properties which they found could be used as a nonlethal self defense product. Pepper spray was first sold in the United States under the name Halt Animal Repellent.
