Good point, most home schoolers learn a few things real good. Pray, listen, kindness and behave. So those children would never do such a thing to their parents. It would be an outside who would, and that day is coming because to much is being stirrup and the point of view for children are the focuss. Got to run movie time with the teens.

I wouldn't be surprised if a privacy rights case
would come up from a teen. It would be ludicrous.

When teens have a "private" life which their parents
don't know about, that destroys families. We already
see it happen.

Frankly, the government can do more to destroy
the education of a child than help it at this point.
They have proven that so far.

There was no reply botton to your below message so I'll reply here.

I have invited a young lady who was on Dr. Phil show a few years back to come join this discussion.She had been on his show called the " Backlash of homeschooling". She is now living life very happy as she was able to undo much of the harm that was done as a result of being homeschooled. I hope she joins in.
Also I get mail from men who have tryed to date women who have been homeschooled.They want these young ladies because of the upbring values but social skills play a big part in a relationship. One who I also invited said,"As broken as the formal education can be at times.Home schooling leaves people social decrepit sometimes." So hopefully we can all learn from the kindness of sharing stories and feelings.

There you go attacking home schooling again.

With respect, the "social" arguement is the most ludicrous
one that I have heard so far. As if my child needs to go
to pubic school to learn social skills.

For one, I grew up in public school personally. I remember
going to my peers for advice and learning on "social" issues
rather than my parents. That was a HUGE mistake! A peer of
a teen know as much about the issue or even less than the teen
asking the question. They need their parents who have lived
and grown through these things. Educators do nothing to
encourage the family relationship.

While I will agree that abuses likely go on, you are referencing
some situations that are not statistically the norm. As far as
men dating women that are not up to the social standard because
they have been home schooled, I am not sure that matters. After
all, the social standard is casual dating and sex. What good parent
wants their daughter subjected to that.

Home schooling is just as much formal education as public is
because there is recognition and regulation of it in most states.
Further, my daughter is ahead of most of her peers in the typical
subjects taught in school. In addition, she is taught things that
she will never learn in tradition school and that includes proper
social skills.

People think that the government can't abuse people? Come on!
Consider the many cases that have come now of sexual relationships
between teachers and students. Sounds like they need to learn how
to take care of their own house before they start messing with any
other education system.
